WHERE SHOULD YOU STAY?

Picture

POINT A TO B TO C

While there are always plenty of places to stay in Orlando, this is a holiday weekend, so we strongly recommend making your hotel arrangements as soon as possible.
You’ll want to stay as close as possible to the Clermont / Winter Garden area. The farther south you go, the more you’ll run into Universal Studios and Disney traffic, which can significantly slow you down. Even if you plan to vacation later in the week, we highly recommend separate hotel stays for your fighting days versus your Disney days—those drives add up quickly.
For reference:
  • Universal Studios is closer to Clermont than Disney, but it’s still about 45 minutes away under good traffic conditions.
  • Disney traffic can easily put you behind schedule, especially on a holiday weekend.
Locations at a Glance
  • Corridor Start (Friday & Sunday Venue):

  • 📍 Crossroads School
1331 Green Forest Ct, Suite 22
    Winter Garden, FL 34787

  • Corridor End (Saturday Venue):
    📍 Clermont City Center
    620 W Montrose St
    Clermont, FL 34711
  •
The drive between these two locations is approximately 26 minutes (12.7 miles) under normal traffic conditions, primarily using FL-50 West, which makes this corridor ideal for lodging.
Hotels anywhere along Green Forest Ct → Beulah Rd → FL-50 → Downtown Clermont will keep you well positioned for:
  • Friday & Sunday activities at Crossroads School
  • Saturday tournament events at Clermont City Center
  • Staying within this corridor minimizes time spent in traffic and helps you avoid congestion from the Disney and southern Orlando areas.
  • If you plan to continue your trip for Disney or Universal afterward, we recommend:
  • Staying near this corridor through Sunday night
  • Checking out Monday, then relocating south for your theme park stay
  • Specific hotel recommendations will be listed below.

  1. Hotel Strategy
    1. Ideally, book a hotel that’s convenient for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, or at least close to the Crossroads School and Clermont corridor. Staying somewhere in the middle can also be a smart use of your time.
    2. If you’re planning to extend your trip for Disney or Universal, we recommend checking out on Monday and then heading south for a separate hotel stay. This helps avoid long daily drives and lets you fully enjoy both parts of your trip.
    3. Community & Room SharingAs always, we encourage staying in pairs or groups of four—both for safety and for fun. Community is one of the best parts of coming together, even when we’re going to fight later.
    4. Drop notes, start side chats, form Pokémon teams, or coordinate hotel or room-sharing groups. If you’re looking to split a room or find someone to stay with, now’s the perfect time to connect.

Hotel recommendations will be listed below.
